Who we are

Happy Duct provides air duct and dryer vent cleaning services across northern New Jersey. This policy explains what information we collect through myhappyduct.com, how we use it, and what choices you have.

Information you give us

When you request a quote, we ask for:

• Your name — optional
• Your phone number — required, so we can call you back with a price
• Your email address — optional
• The service address — required, since pricing depends on the property
• The service you are interested in
• Any details you choose to add about the property or the problem

We ask only for what we need to quote the work and schedule a visit. If you would rather not fill in the form, you can call us instead.

Information collected automatically

When you submit the form, we also record which page you submitted it from and the date and time. This tells us which parts of the site people find useful.

Our web server keeps standard access logs that include IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These logs are used to keep the site running and to protect it from abuse.

Our analytics and advertising providers also record information about your visit. The section on cookies, analytics and advertising below explains what that covers and how to opt out.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this site — which pages are visited, how long people stay, and which links they click. To do this, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you view.

We also advertise on Google. When you arrive here by clicking one of our Google ads, Google Ads sets cookies that tell us whether the ad led to a call or a quote request. For these visitors, the phone number shown on the site may be replaced with a Google forwarding number that rings through to our usual line, so Google can count calls that came from an ad. When such a call is made, Google records details of it, such as when it started, how long it lasted and the caller's area code, and reports them to us.

We use this information only to understand which pages and ads bring us customers. The details you enter in the quote form are never sent to Google.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the browser add-on Google provides at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, control how Google uses your information for ads at myadcenter.google.com, or block cookies in your browser settings. The site works normally either way.

How we use your information

We use what you send us to:

• Respond to your request and prepare a quote
• Schedule and carry out the work
• Contact you about your request or an upcoming appointment
• Keep records of the work we have performed

We do not sell your personal information. The details you enter in the quote form are never shared with advertising services.

Calls and text messages

If you give us your phone number, we may call or text you about your request and any scheduled visit. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to a text message to stop receiving them, or tell us at any time that you prefer email only.

Who we share it with

Your request is delivered to our email inbox, so our email provider processes and stores that message on our behalf.

Information about how the site is used goes to Google Analytics and Google Ads, as described below. That data is about site traffic and ad performance; the details you enter in the quote form are not sent to Google.

We may also share information with people who help us run the business, such as a scheduling or bookkeeping service, and only to the extent they need it. We will disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests for as long as we need them to respond to you and to maintain records of the work performed, after which they are deleted. Records connected to completed jobs are kept as long as our tax and accounting obligations require.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also ask us to stop contacting you. Write to myhappyduct@gmail.com and we will take care of it.

Security

The form is sent over an encrypted connection and delivered to a password-protected mailbox. No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we do not keep your information anywhere it does not need to be.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the business or the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
